- Why approach Summit?

THE ISSUE

The client had never undergone unconscious bias training before, but wanted to learn the ways unconscious bias may be influencing their recruitment processes, and how to mitigate these effects to ensure their organisation is diverse and inclusive in its recruitment policies. As an organisation with a multinational workforce, the client was also interested in reducing the effect of unconscious bias on work between employees from different countries and cultures.

The trainings were delivered in a very professional and enjoyable manner and the participants found them to be interesting and valuable.

- How Summit can help

The solution

Two half-day events, with the second booked after the success of the first. These sessions were specifically tailored to the needs of the client, and used interactive exercises to explore:

What biases may be present in the workplace and how to recognise them.

How unconscious biases can affect decisions made during the recruitment process.

How to develop recruitment policies that reduce the impact of human factors such as emotions and ‘gut feelings,’ thus minimising the potential involvement of bias.

We have no hesitation in recommending Summit to other organisations looking for Unconscious Bias trainings.
