- Why approach Summit?

THE ISSUE

The client had traditionally focused on the project manager side of leadership, selecting managers because of their abilities in the technical side of project delivery, not their skills in people management. However, the organisation recognised the importance of ensuring their managers are equipped with the emotional intelligence skills that would enable them to develop high-trust relationships with their teams, work collaboratively across departments, and improve the overall quality of their projects. Therefore the client was committed to creating a pool of managers that had strong, emotionally intelligent people management skills to complement their technical skill.

all attendees were impressed with the training they received and found the course was delivered with knowledge and understanding. They found the content excellent and rewarding. As a result, they feel more confident in their roles.

- How Summit can help

The solution

An immersive five-day management development training programme, which was delivered virtually to ten participants – all technically-minded managers. The programme focused on topics such as:

Developing dynamic teamwork to replace inefficient silo working.

Using effective delegation to enhance a team’s overall skills base.

Improving workplace wellbeing for each member of the team.

How to manage remote teams effectively.

Many of the ideas and tips given were implemented straight away and the team leaders feel that the knowledge they gained is benefiting them already.
