Train the Trainer Training Programme
Purpose:
To provide training and human resources professionals with a vast range of tools, techniques, tips and strategies to maximise the effectiveness of their training and development interventions.
Please note:- the focus of this in-depth, modular programme is to maximise the learning journey of programme participants so that they can then facilitate more worthwhile learning with their internal customers and deliver a genuine return on investment with any programme they design, deliver and evaluate.
Phase 1 (Developing a solid foundation)
Participants will learn how to:
- Design a worthwhile, challenging, valuable and inclusive training programme from scratch
- Identify potential ROI and risks associated with any training and development activity
- Use our unique creative programme design methods to match all learning stles quickly, easily and effectively
- Review the effectiveness of an existing training programme and identify improvements to maximise its effectiveness
- Effectively use a mixture of presentation, activity, review and discussion to enhance quality of learning and retention
- Relate each learning point back to the real world of work and promote application of learning
- Design worthwile and meaningful programme evaluation documents to add greater value to the organisation
- Develop and promote personal ownership for learning with participants on any training programme
- Apply our unique template of pre-event communication, programme evaluation and post-event support to maxmise participant engagement
Phase 2 (Maximising trainer effectiveness)
Participants will learn how to:
- Develop deep rapport with participants prior to a training programme
- Assess and critique their current personal effectivenss and identify 5 specific areas to improve
- Effectively address their 5 specific areas for improvement during this phase of the training programme
- Enhance their presence through credible, demonstrable competence and skill
- Gain high levels of involvement from their audience, however ‘dry’ the subject may appear
- Actively welcome and effectively handle difficult questions and awkward participants
- Faciliate meaningful discussions to embed learning and relevance to their audience
- Maximise participant commitment to actively and intelligently apply their learning back in the workplace
Phase 3 (Embedding and reinforcing learning)
Participants will learn how to:
- Effectively transfer course learning back to the workplace
- Motivate line managers to provide post-training programme support for participants
- Measure the return on investment for any training or development activity
- Provide remote support to maintain post-training programme commitment to applying learning
- Match learning objectives with personal development plans and performance appraisal systems
- Promote line management responsibility for ensuring learning is actively applied
